If you happen to own a luxury set of gold cutlery at home, don"t hesitate to sell it. I used to have one, too, and I had been keeping it in my chest of drawers for years before I finally decided to look for a buyer and sell gold. The reason why I had been waiting for so long is simple. I was not aware of the fact that the set was actually worth a lot of money. I thought it wasn"t really made of any precious metal. You can buy a lot of similar things at the arts and crafts market, can"t you? But one day a friend of mine, who"s an experienced investor, visited me. We started talking about his ways of investment and he mentioned something about buying and selling gold cutlery items. I rushed to my chest of drawers immediately to show him my set, which I thought he would laugh at. I was really convinced it was all very cheap stuff. But he looked at it closely, with great interest, and then he told me the truth. He wanted to be honest; of course. I learned that I had been keeping a very valuable set of gold cutlery at home. Of course, the items were made of metal alloy, but they were plated with 18 karat genuine gold. I decided to sell gold a couple of weeks later. I found the buyer really quickly, and I must say that my friend was right, the set was worth much more that I had expected.
